Mod Post Weight loss posts are temporarily not allowed in /r/BeAmazed. We recommend you to submit such posts to subreddits like /r/progresspics, /r/GlowUps etc.
Recently in this subreddit, one of the weightloss post made it to front page and got 100k+ points. Then another weightloss post crossed 100k. Since then there has been a surge of weightloss posts and we have been receiving many reports by the community that they are not liking this surge.
So we have decided to temporarily not allow new weight loss related posts for a while.
In case you are someone who wanted to post related to your weightloss journey, then we recommend you to post them in related subreddits like /r/progresspics, /r/GlowUps etc.
I wanna thank the community for the feedback.
Have a great day everyone!

Miscellaneous / Others A forgotten beer can became a simple pinhole camera and unintentionally recorded the sun’s daily path for eight years, creating the longest exposure photograph ever captured.
In 2012, photography student Regina Valkenborgh placed a small homemade pinhole camera on the rooftop of Bayfordbury Observatory while experimenting with solargraphy a method used to record the path of the Sun across the sky over long periods of time.
The camera, made from a simple drinks can, was meant to stay there for a short project. But it was accidentally forgotten and remained in place for more than eight years.
When it was finally rediscovered in 2020, the photographic paper inside revealed something incredible: thousands of glowing arcs tracing the daily journey of the Sun. Each bright curve represents one day, while the changing heights of the arcs reveal the shift of seasons — higher paths during summer and lower ones in winter.
Breaks in the lines even show days when clouds blocked the sunlight.
What started as a small student experiment unexpectedly turned into one of the longest photographic exposures ever captured, beautifully recording years of Earth's motion around the Sun in a single image.

Animal Witnessed the purest form of friendship...
This is a story from Haridwar Uttrakhand. I was just passing by... and I couldn't stop myself from recording this that made my heart pause
A dog resting peacefully on his human's hand, and the man gently fanning him
If this isn't the purest form of friendship, I don't know what is.
I believe some bonds don't need words. This is one of them.

Animal The town didn’t adopt a horse. They adopted a love story...
Jenny was a white Arabian horse who lived in the Fechenheim district of Frankfurt. Every morning for nearly 14 years, Werner her owner opened the stable gate and let her walk out on her own since he was no longer able to ride her. She followed the same familiar route she used to walk with him, covering miles each day before heading back home around lunchtime. To make sure everyone knew that, she wore a small sign on her halter that read: “My name is Jenny. I didn’t run away, I’m just walking. Thank you.” Locals and police looked out for her until her passing in March 2022...
